Vision Coverage

Vision insurance helps pay for vision-related care and treatments, such as eye exams, and hardware to include glasses (lenses and frame) and contact lenses to assist in eye health on a routine basis. Vision coverage can be purchase on a fully-insured or self-
funded basis. It is a contract with an insurance company that pays for the cost of vision care when purchased on a fully insured basis. Or an employer can secure an administrative services only contract where the employer pays 100% of the vision claims and pays the insurance company a small fee to administer claims and rent their network.
